Exit china after work permit cancelled, but Residence permit not cancelled

Hi,

I was working in china for 2 years and I left my Job. My Employer submitted my WP for cancellation and they are insisting me to cancell my Residence permit also. They are saying this is the new rule for Exit/Entry from PSB.

I am planning to leave the country in 2~ 3 days.I want to return to Home immedietly, and can not stay here to waiting cancelling my residence permit and issue a new VISA (will take 7 Working days minimum).

Can I be stopped at airport because I do not have a work permit or work permit cancel letter in hand?

After I exit from country, is it possible to cancel the residence permit if i send the scan copy of exit entry?

Your early response are highly appreatiated.

Hi, you are suggested to visit the local PSB asap for this and show your ticket for leaving as proof that you need to get this done within 2-3 days. I am not sure if the new rule requires the cancel of residence permit or not, but it may be a problem for your future visit if you exit without doing this.
