About:Beijing Taxi

Taxi or Subway to North Gate of Forbidden City in Beijing

Arriving in BJ Airport on a Sunday night around 6pm. 4 Travelers, 3 from China and 1 from the US, would it be cheaper for a Taxi for 4 travelers and what is the traffic like at that time from Airport to North Gate Forbidden City area? Should we just take the subway then a short taxi to our Hotel?

If you plan to reach the north gate from the airport directly, I think taking a shuttle bus is much cheaper than taking taxi directly.
The traffic will be terrible if you arrives in the city during weekdays.

Where is your hotel? If your hotel is not very far from the north gate of the Forbidden City, it is suggested to take the airport shuttle bus line 2 to reach its terminal at Xidan where you can change to take a taxi to reach your hotel directly.

Then I highly recommend four of you take a taxi to your hotel. It is most covenient and relatively more money-saving than taking Express Train + Subway.
