Permanent residence in China, how can I get it?

It is my wish to become a permanent resident of China in the Henan province. What will I need to do to accomplish this. Or how long can I stay there on a visa and what kind will I need?

There are permanent resident permits for spouse, seeking reunion with parents, investment, employment, outstanding aliends and dependants. Each kind has different requirements. Which are you going to apply for it?

Seriously, it is very difficult to get the permanent resident permit. You may read relation materials in "Chinese residence permits" section of the China Visa column on this website.
