do i need a mexican visa? if so where do i go for that?

I am a Chinese student with American one, my American friends want me to visit Mexico with them next month.

I was told that Chinese people with American visas can enter Mexico and stay there for 180 days at most without applying one for Mexico. However, I think that you'd better to confirm this with the embassy of Mexico in the USA in case your trip to Mexico is ruined.
