Which visa should my spouse get?

I'm about to apply for an F type for a position in China, and I'm wondering if it's possible for my spouse to apply for the same type, or will she have to apply for a L type? Thank you!

After the new reguations take effect, your wife need to apply for S1 (more than 180 days)or S2 (less than 180 days). She needs to provide a completed application form with a recent passport size photo stapled on, valid passport and copy of its information page, invitation letter from you, kinship proof (marriage certificate) and other documents required by the embassy.
