It is hard to tell how much you should take in exact, because it depends on your travel plan.
In general, you can take about 2500 to 3000RMB for the trip to that city.
Which bank do you use you store your money? Branches of Chinese main banks can be found in that city, such as Bank of China and China Merchants Bank.
The visa and master card can be used in many places in that city, so please do not worry.

There are hundreds of banks in Qingdao that have ATM, the ATM take major credit cards and debit cards plus Maestro and Cirrus. You will find 24 hour ATMs everywhere I use the Standard Chartered in Xianggang Zhong Lu ( Middle Hong Kong Road) beside Starbucks. But there are many including at the airport. They are easy to use and have a language option.
