About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

I am planning to go to Taiwan from India. As i can check online , if i fly with china eastern airlines they have a stoppage of 22 hrs in shanghai .

1. Do i need transit visa ? ( and also in case my connecting flight gets delayed and exceeds 24 hrs )
2. Do i have to claim my baggage ?
3. Can i spend this amount of time on airport ?

If you hold the connecting boarding pass, it is not necessary to claim your baggage. For your 22hr transit, you can stay in the airport for sure.

Transit visa is not required for a stopover less than 24 hours. If your connecting flight gets delayed, you can get a visa issued from Frontier Inspection office at the airport.
