travelling to yuxi from kunming

Dear Forum user, I want to visit a city called Yuxi which I believe is not too far from KM perhaps a one hour bus ride away.  However I need help in finding out a few things such as the following and would appreciate some info:How do I go from KM airport to Yuxi (train, bus, private car hire is transport to Yuxi from the airport difficult for someone who speaks English.Are there any hostels or hotels in Yuxi (English speaking staff would be a bonus)  I have tried to find hostels in Yuxi but nothing seems to come up and only one hotel but the website is all in Chinese.It would be fantastic if someone could provide some info on the above as I would love to visit in Yuxi in the near future.

Hi, there are two methods to travel from the airport to Yuxi:1. take express bus line 2 to KM Railway Station, where there are two trains in operation daily. They depart at 08:40 and 16:40. 2. take express bus line 4 to Southern Bus Station, where there are frequent buses to Yuxi from 07:20 to 19:40. I know a Hongta Hotel. It has great location and the service is good. I heard another one, Mole Hotel, which is at No. 39, South-North Street of Hongta District. It is within walking distance from local Bus Station. You can have a try!

Hey thank you so much for the advice a lot more than I hoped for.  Would you know if English will be understood or should I have written down in Chinese where I want to go for example a ticket to YX etc....I have a small Chinese to English book which might help as I don't want things to get lost in translation thanks

English is hard for local people to understand, so it is still suggested to write down in Chinese where you want to go.
