About:China Visa Exemption

Returning a Chinese Child to China and traveling without a visa

I volunteer for a group called Airline Ambassadors International, and as a medical escort returning a Chinese child back home from the USA to Shanghai, would I be able to travel without it since I will only be in Shanghai for just over 24 hours? Thank you, this would save much time and money!

You can exempted from visa if you make your flight with a transit (with connecting ticket leaving within 72 hours) via Shanghai. For exemple, HK-Shanghai-USA. Otherwise, you need to apply for a visa in advance for a stay over 24 hours.
