Any English Spoken in Haikou?

I would love to visit Hainan Island this Autumn from London my home city. Not being a Mandarin/Cantonese speaker is it possible to get around easily, for example are there signs in English.

I appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thankyou! Steve

Please do not worry about it. Most of the attractions and hotel have boards written in both Chinese and English. So I think you can have a nice trip there.
But most of the local people know no English, so if you want to take taxis, I think you may print the destination's Chinese name on a card and show it to the taxi driver. Then he may drive you there diretly.
