About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

For a short term study visa do i need to get a physical health record?

I am collecting my X on 25th and want to know if i need to provide a physical exam to get the residence permit. My period of study is less than 6 months.
I have been looking for info online and everything is very contradicting.
Do you know the real regulations? I am in Kunming.

Hey, there are two kinds of X visas, X1 and X2. X1 is for those who study in China more than 180 days. X2 is less than 180 days. According to the new regulations, no matter which type you apply for, you need to provide original and copy of foreigner's physical examination record.
