Gift packs for family members

Im going to China for the first time in 2 weeks and am looking to take a lot (around 12 or 14) small gift packs made up of samples like vegemite, nutella, chocolates, face cream, etc. to give to my potential in laws as I am lead to believe is customary. Im flying China Eastern. Is this going to be an issue regarding customs and so forth? Do I need to declare any of this?

No, there is not going to be problem about taking them in. But I am not sure whether u need to declare it or not. For this case, it is suggested to consult your airline directly.
