I am a snake Chinese zodiac, was born in 2001, what is my element?

I'm guessing I'm Metal because the year ends in one and Venus is the planet for my virgo astrological sign. I don't know if I'm right though, please help!

I figured it out. My element is fire. I don't understand though, horse, snake, red, summer, 9-13, south, heart, small intestine, tongue, hot, bitter, mars, vermillion bird, bing ding, 6,7... What do all these mean? WHAT DO ALL THESE MEAN?!?!?

Earlier posts incorrect...you were born in the year of the Golden Snake. 2001 is not a fire year, but metal. Because 2001 falls in the 60 year cycle demarcating the "golden" metal zodiac cycle, you are a golden snake vice metal snake. Google "golden dragon" year and "golden pig" year.
