About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

What extra "required documents" do I need when applying for a chinese tourist visa?

I am going to Shanghai and Beijing. Do I need a photo copy of my birth certificate and passport as well as a passport quality photo? Couldn't find many specifics on the CVASC's website.

Basic requirements are your passport, a copy of its data page, application form and a passport-sized photo. If you want a tourist L, an itinerary or a accommodation and airline booking are required.

Thanks, got it sorted today. As I was applying for a 'visiting friends' L, I also had to supply Chinese picture ID of my friend as well as flight bookings in and out of the country.

Cheers.
