About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Other Airports?

Hi! I'm flying through Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG) on my way home to L.A. from New Delhi, India. I have an 18 hour layover and would like to explore a bit outside the airport. Would I be able to leave the airport using this 72 hour free policy? Or does it only work if I fly through one of the above listed airports?

Hi, the 72 hour free transit only applies to the airport listed above. But if your stopover is less than 24 hours, you are still able to apply for a free stay permit after arrival at the airport. Your case is within their 24 hour exemption.
