Question about double entry tourist visa

Hi, I have a double entry issued from outside China (not HK) on March 2013. It is valid until September 2013. Duration is 30 days on each stay. I used my first entry in April. I stayed in Beijing for two weeks then.

Questions:
1. I heard the second entry must be within 90 days after the first entry? Or can I use the second entry before it expires on September 2013?
2. How many times can I extend my tourist L if it is issued from outside.

You can use the second entry anytime before Sept. 2013 within the validity.
I heard that visas can not be extended within China any more based on the new regulation from July first.

Hi Mai, you can visit the local PSB for an extension seven days prior to the expiry date. But the result depends on the officers there. That is to say, if the reasons for extension are appropriate and sufficient, such extension shall be granted.
You can refer to cs.mfa.gov.cn/fwxx/t1054650.htm for details.
