Do my clients need a visa for China if they have a forced overnight in Hong Kong with the airline?

Sorry, my clients have Canadian Passports and the airline is putting them up in a hotel in Hong Knog as it is a forced overnight on the way home to Ottawa Ontario Canada.

Canadian passport holders enjoy free entry to HK, so visa is not required.
