About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

What's the difference between 1st and 2nd class on the superfast trains?

I plan to travel Beijing-Guangzhou with my family. I have two small kids with me: ages 7 and 4. The journey between the two cities is 9 hours. Will my kids be comfortable on 2nd class?

For first class, four of seats are set in a row. The seat is roomy and has enough space for one passenger and one carryon bag; the distance between two rows is fairly enough for passengers to rest their legs. For second class, the seats are not as soft as the first class seats, but still comfortable for sitting. There are five seats in a row with three on one side of the aisle and two on the other side. First class seats are more comfortable for long distance journey.
