Indian Citizen having Single entry visa for China, but traveling to Hong kong

Im traveling to Hong kong a week before i travel to Shanghai. Will it be taken into account for that? I am assuming that i will be given a 14 days permit to Hong Kong and i can still use it to enter Shanghai, am i correct?

Don't worry, you are allowed free entry to HK for 14 days. It will not be counted as one entry on your Chinese visa. So, it is ok for use to enter Shanghai.
