need proof of cancelled flight to make travel insurance claim.

Question

On our way back to Paris from Sydney, our China Eastern scheduled flight from Shanghai to Paris on May 22, 2013 was cancelled.  We were put up in a hotel and got on the flight the next day, but we had to purchase new train tickets from Paris to our home in the south of France.  We have travel insurance but they require proof of the cancellation from the airline.  We have called different phone numbers but have so far been unable to reach anyone at China Eastern willing or able to help us.  Please assist.  Thank you.

In this case, no one could help you. You could call China Eastern airlines directly. My experience is to call your booking agency. This is the best way. They may solve your problems. Just have a try. Good luck.
