My 20 year old son is in China and wants to travel

Hi, my son is serving an internship in Shaoxing and found out he has 10 days free and wants to travel but we are not sure where he should go. He doesn't mind taking a train or flying. He's not the club-going type but he enjoys good food and is a pretty adventurous guy.

Since he is in Shaoxing, I think some beautiful nearby places are suggested.
Hangzhou and Shanghai are worth visiting. Besides, some water towns such as Wuzhen and Zhouzhuang are also suggested. If he still have time, Nanjing in Jiangsu Province is worth traveling.
