About:Lantau Island

HK Airport express or Taxi - Which is economical

Hi, We plan to break our journey at Hongkong just to visit Disney land. We will reach at morning 6.15AM and we plan to go to Disneyland directly. Can you please let me know if Taxi to Disney land would be cheaper or should I take airport express to Tsing Yi station then change to MTR and get down at sunny bay and again transfer to resort line. And is there any other budget transportation from Airport to Disney land and back.

If you travel with about four to five people, I think the best way is the taxi. From the airport to the Disneyland, the taxi fare is around 105 to 120HK$.
Or you can any A or E buses from A10, A11, A12, A21, A22, A29, E11, E21, E21A, E22, E22A, E22P and E23 to reach Lantau Link Toll Plaza and then change to take bus R8 to reach the Disneyland.

The MTR train is VERY easy. You can even download the app. From the airport you take the airport express however taxi is also cheap. I enjoyed the train ride because you see what a difference there is between the USA and Asia. The train system there is 100 times better than NYC and I live here so I'm ashamed of the NYC rail system now! It's PATHETIC compared to Hong Kong. Free wifi too! Def. something you should experience. There is also outlets at the cable car entrance. Enjoy!
