My husband has been offered a teaching position for one semester...Sept-Jan in Suzhou. What kind of visa for him and myself? Information is a little unclear where to go and how long the wait would be? We are in Alberta.

If he got the invitation letter, he can apply for a F type if the duration of stay is less than  6 months. You can apply for F at the same time to accompany him. If you reside in Alberta, you need to submit applications to CVASC in Calgary. The regular processing takes 4 working days.
