About:China Visa

Is the end of the 72 hour visa in Bejing the time of your flight or time you arrive at the airport

Technically, the total time from my scheduled flight arrival until the scheduled departure time is 74 hours

It will probably take time to deplane and get the 72 hour permit, and then I will plan on being at the airport for departure at least 2 hours ahead of time.

Is the 72 hour time calculated from the time you get your 72 hour permit until your flight departure time? Or would I have to wait 2 hours on arrival to get it?

Thanks

Different airline may have different policies regarding this free transit. You are suggested to contact your airline (that you will take to Beijing) for detailes, because they may simply count the time by reading your tickets about the scheduled landing and departure when you board the plane.

It may also be a problem since I am arriving on a Thai flight from Thailand and departing on an Air Canada flight to Canada and the flights are both booked through Air Canada.
