Enter after Visa expiry date

I was due to visit my daughter in China yesterday but had to cancel my flight owing to family illness. It was issued in London on the 26 April 2013 with an enter before date of 26 July 2013. I will now be visiting in mid August so do I have to apply for a new one or can my present one be extended?

You have to apply for a new one. Because Chinese visa can not be changed or extended after issue.
