About:Embassy & Consulates of Myanmar in China

VOA or Kunming Visa for Myanmar

I'm a UK resident living in Shanghai. A friend is coming to visit me in July. Is it possible to get a visa in Kunming for the both of us? And is it possible to get VOA at Mandalay airport? If neither, what are our options?

I understand these questions have been asked before, but maybe the situations have changed. Thanks.

As I know, you need to apply for it in advance. VOA is not available.
So please contact the consulate in Kunming directly for details:

Thank you for the quick response. Do you know how long it takes and if there are fast-track options?

As I am going to be in Kunming I am hoping to travel to Lijiang and Shangri-La whilst waiting for my visa, is it possible to travel whilst my passport is at the visa office? Can I get a document that allows this?

As I know, the rush service takes 3 working days. If you want to travel in Kunming whilst waiting for it, the receipt/pick-up form should be ok for use to check in hotels and take trains.
