Check in at the airport express HK and later that day catch Ferry from Shekou to HKIA for my flight.

Is it possible to check in your luggage in the morning at the airport express HK station , get your boarding pass for an evening flight, then take a ferry to Shekou for a few hours and then take the ferry from Shekou to HKIA star pier?
