How can one take a dip/walk the bay/have a day trip at Repulse?

Hi. I moved to HK earlier this month with my husband and we've heard much about Repulse Bay's beach. We'd like to take a day trip to the beach, just to walk on some sand and soak in some sun, perhaps to take a dip, but not to stay overnight or sleep over. What would you suggest we do? Am hesitant to ask around here because I cannot speak the language, so I end up getting incorrect information. Thank you in advance!
