About:Hangzhou Transportation

Is it possible to hire a taxi for an entire day (about 6-7 hours) in Hangzhou

Also is there a tourist information center in the central train station?

It is possible, but it is suggested to negotiate a reasonable price before boarding.
It is not very easy to find the tourist information center around the train station.
