About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

About family visit.

I noticed you told a previous person that if their spouse lived in China they could apply for a I believe you said L one for family visit. You mentioned it is valid for two years. Does that mean they could stay that long or that they could use the same one at different times for up to 2 years?

I think you mean the temporary family visit resident permit. If you meet all the requirements, you can apply for it from the local police station when you arrive. With this permit in hand, you can enter or exit China as you wish during its validity.
