About:China Visa Application in USA

Is it possible to get a 2-year (L)Tourist Visa with multiple entry to China without booked holidays?

I am a US citizen hoping to apply now for the L toward future holiday plans into China. However, I don't have any invitation letter or confirmed flight bookings at this time. Thank you!

I am afraid not. The Chinese citizens' spouses and children with American nationality, as well as the Chinese American born in China (including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau) and their spouses and children, are eligible to apply for a long-term valid "L" visa with multiple-entries.
