About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

is there a consulate office in Chiang Mai that can issue a visa to a Thai resident

if so can you let me know how long it takes the cost and what is required,Im a business man from Canada who travels to China regularly for business,I have a Thai girlfriend whom I would like to join me,I will pay for all expenses,including airfare hotel food etc,we will be staying for appx 10 days,Guangzhou and Shanghai,the airfare will have a return date and the Hotel will list my girlfriend s name as well,please advise whats needed,cost,and time to attain the visit and if all this can be done by mail,email,or through through the Chiang Mai office,

Yes, she should submit application to the Consulate-General of the PRC in Chiang Mai. The regular processing takes 4 working days. Fee is THB 1,000 for a single entry. She can submit application to the consulate in person or by someone else/ travel agency entrusted. Mail application is not accepted.

Thank you Brad for your prompt reply,I was told that in order to attain it she must show that she has many at the bank,which she doesnt,is this a problem,even though I will be paying for all the expenses including airfare?

I hope this was not too late... if you will sponsor her trip, you can provide your bank statement for her application.
