About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Work visa and also for my spouse

My company will be providing me with a work Z, Will I be able to get a year long one for my wife/partner? If so how will we prove we are together as we seem to have misplaced marriage cert... been married 4 years, together 10. Also what type will she need? will we both have to go to Hong Kong.

She can apply for a dependent Z with invitation letter from your company. Marriage certificate is required as well. I think the correct step should be following if you are now in your home country: your company send you the work permit and invitation letter, you can apply from the embassy together. It is not necessary to do it in HK.

Thanks for that. We are currently both in china on L type but will be visiting home in December. I think we will get the z type in the UK. Will my company need to provide an invitation letter for my wife.
