Possible to apply for dependent visa of HK for my husband with Chinese embassy here in Singapore?

I am a permanent resident of Hong Kong. My husband who is holding a Mainland Chinese passport, but is a Singapore permanent resident. Is it possible that he apply through the embassy here, rather than going to Hong Kong?

Yes, he can apply through Chinese embassy there, but his application will need to be sent to HK Immigration Department for approval. So the processing takes about one month.

Hi Edmund,

Many thanks for your reply. I have heard that in order for my husband's dependency Z in Hong Kong to be processed, he may have to attend an interview at the Immigration Office in Hong Kong. Is that always the case?

I don't think so. You should wait for the results.
