About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Is invitation letter necessary if we have enough money for the stay

I wish to get a tourist visa for myself, husband, son and mother to visit Beijing and Shanghai in August 2013. IF we submit the hotel booking details , 6 months bank statements, A letter issued confirming employment of husband from the Company along with other requirements would that do. We are unable to get a sponsor letter or a invitation letter from China as its a holiday and we are using our money for the stay. We have already visited Hongkong as tourist and are PR holders of Australia.

Hi, it is ok. Invitation letter is not mandatory for tourist L application. If you can provide evidence of financial capability of covering the travelling expenses, and when necessary, provide the hotel bookings, air tickets to the heading country/region after leaving China, your application will be approved.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the speedy reply. Sorry i forgot to mention currently we are PR holders in Australia. We will be traveling from S L and returning back to S L. In that case we will only be submitting income proof documents, employer letter, bank statements, birth/marriage certificate, airticket conformation details. Please confirm whether this is sufficient for obtaining a tourist L.

Hi, personally I think these are enough, you can submit your application for L to the embassy with them.
