Several Application questions

I am going to the Chinese consulate, which is quite a drive from where I live, tomorrow morning. I want to make sure I have everything correct:

1.) I might be able to swing being in the city for another day-- from experience, do people typically get their visa processed by the second day with express pick-up?

2.) I am landing in Beijing (cheaper flight) but am visiting and staying with a relative in another city. I haven't booked a hotel for the first night in Beijing because I don't know what the relative wants to do, but since I intend to only be in Beijing just for that first night... can I just put the relative's address down instead? Or do I need to book a hotel for that first night in Beijing to put down on the application (I would probably cancel it afterward)?

3.) I have a flight confirmation receipt detailing my round-trip flight. Will a copy of this suffice?

Another question: I really don't know what places I will visit when I'm in China, and nothing has been booked since I will be staying with a relative. That relative wants to take me around to other cities, but we're not sure which cities or when we'll go and will decide when I get there. Should I only list my relative's city under "please list cities and provinces to visit in China in a time sequence", since I wont be able to provide addresses for potential cities in the next box ("residences and phone numbers during your stay in China in a time sequence")? This relative lives in a province in that city, should I list the province as well?

You can use express service for processing, but it should be based on the approval of consular officer. If you have an invitation letter from your relative as proof you will stay with them, hotel booking is not required. You can put down your relative's address. A copy of your flight confirmation is ok for application.
If you do not have plan on places of visit, you can just list the city where you relative lives and put N/A to the items left.
