Hi my name is Sam, from Ghana, and my wife is filipino. We currently hold Chinese Resident permit here in Beijing, and we would love to travel to Japan, the first time for holidays.Please what are the requirements? Do we need to apply through an agent or directly from the Embassy?

According to the embassy, you need to find an agent to apply for you. Foreigners need to ask the Service Center for People Entering and Leaving China of the Foreign Affairs Office in Beijing.
