New Zealander Staying in Shanghai

Hi,
I am a New Zealander in Australia and am traveling to Germany via Shanghai. I will be staying in Shanghai for 3 nights - could you please tell me which the most suitable visa is for me?

Also, how do I make an appointment online to get my visa in Sydney?

If you stay less than 72 hours, you can enjoy 72 hours visa free transit in Shanghai. Otherwise, you should apply for a G type one in Sydney. You don't need to make an appointment in advance.
