About:Changbai Mountain

How to get from Yanji to Changbai Mountain in September?

I will fly to Yanji in September. I will arrive in the evening. How can I go to the Mountain area? Is there an evening tranportation (train/bus). How can i buy tickets?

You can take a bus to travel from Yanji to Erdao (二道) Baihe first. Then at Erdao, you can take another bus or rent a car to the destination. Generally, passengers buy the tickets at the bus station. However, I'm afraid no night train or bus is available.

For those intending to visit the beautiful Changbai mountain admission to the park is 125 RMB which includes bus rides in the park, but if you want to go to Heavenly Lake it's by very fast 4X4 and will cost an extra 80RMB. I was there late May 2013 and had snowed 2 days earlier.
You'll meet many Chinese and South Korean tourists, try the hot spring cooked eggs.
