Yes, next to your hotel, there is a Lido Plaza, where you can conveniently enjoy shopping and dining. Besides, you can also find other malls or supermarkets nearby.

As for the Halal Food, I know a Shunxingzhai Restaurant is around 300m away.

I would not call the Lido Plaza a shopping mall. Things there are way over priced and are marketed mainly to gullible foreigners or Chinese with more money than they have sense. I live about 10 minutes away from the Lido. There are two shopping malls nearby the Lido, both of which you will need to take a taxi to reach - but good news the taxis only cost US$2 per trip (US$4 round trip). Ask the front desk to write the names of the shopping malls nearby and just jump in a taxi.

There is a great XinJiang restaurant nearby within walking distance which should be halal. Again, ask the front desk and they can give you directions.
