Hi, I recommend Xiamen and Longyan to you. As for XM, the local Gulangyu Island, Southern Putuo Temple, Jimei area andb Zengcuoan are good destination. In Longyan, the Hakka Earth Towers cannot be missed. You can surely travel from HK to XM, I remember there are direct cross-boder coaches run by CTS (China Travel Service Limited Group) operating this journey. You can take the bus at the opposite of China Travel Service branch at North Point, Tsuen Wan Nina Tower bus Terminus or Kowloon City Port taxi stop. As for the trains from XM to Guangzhou, two K-trains run for the journey and it takes around 14 hours. You will be taken to Guangzhou East Train Station.
