am a US passport holder & dual filipino citizen, i would like to see shanghai since i have more than 9 hours of stop over taking air china on way back from paris, can i be allowed to get out of the airport for a quick sightseeing tour of Shanghai on Sat July 6, is visa required to do so, thank you. btw, am taking Air China

I think you needn't apply for it. But you need to apply for a stay permit when you arrive.
