About:Visa Policy of China

what is the maximum stay per entry under the multiple entry

I am currently in china on a 6 mth double entry visa, i will return to Australia very shortly to renew it, I am thinking of applying for a either 6 mth or 12 mth multiple entry one, I need to know what is the maximum stay per entry under the multiple entry for instance can i stay for 180 days on one entry, Because if entry is for 2 months per entry then i am better off applying for another 6 mth double entry. Any assistance is welcome

May I know are you visiting for business? or family visit? or else? Actually, the consular officers have right to make the final decision based on documents you provided.

I live in china with my defacto wife we wont marry until Dec/Jan, so i have been using a 6mth double entry, max stay 90 day one, i was hoping to be able to have max stay 180 days on a 12m mth multiple entry. But from what i am reading max for multiple entry is 2 mth stay if this is correct then i am better off applying for another 6mth 90 day max one.
