About:China Visa Application in UK

Staying in China for 45 days as a tourist

Hi,
I am looking to visit from the 10th of September until the 18th of October this year - would I be able to get a 45 day visa straight away or do I have to get a 30 day one and extend it once I am there? Also, when would you suggest I apply for this?

Generally, you will be issued a tourist L with 30 days as duration. You need to apply for an extention while over there. It is too early to apply now, the best time for application is one month prior to your departure date, so it is in August.
