About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Visa for one night near Guangzhou airport ?

I am French, resident in Tokyo. I will fly with 'China Southern' from Paris to Tokyo with a 'one night stop in Guanghzou. I made a one night reservation in an hotel close to Guanghzou Airport (Baiyun). Do I need one to stay in this hotel ? Can I get it at the airport ?

If the time between your two flights (one you took when you arrived and another one you will take to leave for Japan) is less than 24 hours, you needn't apply for a G type. But you need to apply for a stay permit since you go out of the airport.

Otherwise, you need to apply for a G type one in advance. It can't be obtained when you arrive at the airport.
