About:Chengdu Shuangliu Airport

Hi! I am arriving from Kathmandu by Air China and transiting in Chengdu for 16 hours. I have a connecting flight on ANA to Narita and then onwards to Seattle.

Air China staff in Kathmandu is telling me that I need to collect my checked-in bags in CD city and recheck them in with ANA. According to them, I cannot check my bags all the way to the final destination due to security issues at Shuangliu airport. Is this true?

Do you use Air China for the whole journey? If so, you can have the luggage through-check at the start point and pick them up at the final stop without recheck in during the transit.

Helen, I am not. The connecting flight is on All Nippon Airways. Does this mean I have to collect my bags and recheck them?

I'm afraid so. Anyway, if you wanna further check it, call 028—85205555 (hotline of Shuangliu Airport) to consult.
