About:Dragon Boat Festival

Why call it "Dragon 'Boat' Festival" considering the central of celebration is Qu Yuan?

Why not call it Qu Yuan Festival instead. Or its real intent is based from other folklore is to worship the dragon?

The festival was fixed just for the memory of Qu Yuan. After Qu Yuan drown himself, people took boats to find his body. Later, the boat races are inherited to current forms.

As for "Dragon Boat", you are right that people worship dragon to give the name. In general, the festival is named for the main activity on that day.
