how to get to yellow mountain? by taxi is possible from tunxi old street?

hi,we are planing to visit huangshan june9-june12 but we will stay in the hotel where in the main city,,, is the mount far from the main city? and how can we get to there?? is taking taxi possible?? and if we wanna visit there do we need to book anything before visiting or we can go there and buy the ticket there?? and also we are going there without any tour guide,,plz give me some suggestion   thx :)

From Tunxi Old Street, you can take a taxi to the local Bus Station, where there are direct buses to the scenic area. Generally, visitors buy the entrance tickets upon their arrival at the scenic area. I don't think it is necessary to book that ahead. Don't worry! Alothough without a tour guide, you can travel on your own. It will not be that difficult.
