About:Marriage Registration in China

Two Foreigners wishing to marry in China...

Hi, I am Australian and been working and living in Henan for almost two years. I have met another foreigner from Africa (Ugandan) who works for the same company and we wish to get married here. Is it possible for two foreigners to marry in the Chinese system when neither is a Chinese national? If so, how do we go about it?

Actually, I believe this is possible.
I personally know of 2 foreigner couples who were married here (Beijing) last year. There is a special Chi govt registry office you need to go to with the relevant / necessary documents (not unlike those applicable for a foreigner marrying a chinese citizen, obtained from your individual countries or embassy). the docs you need to sign are in chinese and the officer usually speaks very little if any other language besides chinese so they actually advise you to bring along a translator.
Important to note tho, that you will still need to register ur marriage at your individual embassies for it to be recognised legally in your home countries.
