transit at Baiyun Airport- need visa?

Hi, I am flying from Kuala Lumpur to Auckland with a stopover at Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou.I have a valid New Zealand Passport. Do I need one for transit even if I am in the airport for only 10 hrs? Your reply to my email ID appreciated for me to book the air tickets via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport please.

Thank you.

Hi, visa is not required for you to transit in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport for 10 hours.

What if the 10 hours transit is between 2 days like landing at 6.30pm on a Monday and flying off at 4.30am on Tuesday? Do I need a transit visa then? Thanks.

Don't worry, it is ok too for a overnight transit. If you want to stay in a hotel outside of the airport, a stay permit is available to get at the airport.
